What is a Host or a Website?

A host is a company that houses your website. In the case of our 10 page website that comes with your domain the "host" is your registrar which is PaperTheWeb. We hold the webpages you make on our computers (servers).

Hosts can come in all shapes and sizes. There are some "free" hosts out there...places like geocities which gives you "free" webpages but throws advertising popups at everyone that visits. (This type of website should be avoided for business sites.) Your dialup (the company that you use to connect to the internet) probably gives you a certain amount of free pages. Or you can pay a company to host your pages.

Because we want you to have the best value for your dollar when we register your domain name we give you ten pages to hold your website.
