Yes and No. The $24.99 service is
to make it easy to do it yourself. BUT if you would prefer that we do all the
work, marketing and design please check out our SOLUTIONS page
and the FAQ available there.
We also have affordable hosting available for those of you who can put up websites
yourself. You won't find a more affordable webmaster available anyplace.
Do
I own the domain once I get it?
No. No one actually "owns" a domain. It is more like you are "renting" the
rights to the name much as you do your automobile registration. Domain registration
is typically done for a year and you must pay
the
registration
fee each year in order to maintain your "rights" to it. No one else
can use it while you have it registered.
You
offer so much can I transfer my domain name to you?
Yes. Just go to the regular link to register a domain name and request a transfer.
Transfers can take a week or more so be sure and allow time for it to go thru.
The transfer proceedure depends on who your domain is currently registered
with. Sometimes domains cannot be transferred within 30 to 60 days of registration
or change in ownership. The cost is the same and you will have an additional
year added on to whatever time your registration has left.
I
have free domain pages on geocities. Can I use my domain
name with those pages?
Yes. How to do this is explaned on our guides.
This is called pointing your
domain. Pointing simply means that when a visitor types in your domain address
they go to another place on the internet.
Pointing allows customers to type in your domain name but end up on your free
pages. This is usually discouraged for business pages since there is much advertising
and/or popups associated with them. The domain pages you have with us have
NO advertising.
What
if I misspell my domain name when registering it?
Sigh. This is something that can't be undone. If you misspell it you own a
misspelled domain name. So please type carefully.
Can
I call you if I have a question with registration?
Well...yes. We are able to keep our prices at $24,.99 because we try
and communicate thru email rather than thru telephone time.
